Work is set to kick off on three new pitches for two local sports clubs.
Planning permission has been granted for two new full-size floodlight pitches at Slaney Rovers grounds in Rathvilly with all the associated ball stoppers, security fencing, car parking and internal roadways.
Meanwhile, a new all-weather pitch with fencing and netting has been approved for Mount Leinster Rangers GAA Club in Borris.
The planning application for these developments was submitted by the clubs last year with the decision to grant made in recent weeks.
