Works resume today on the Medieval Mile along High Street in Kilkenny

Drivers in Kilkenny City can expect further traffic delays for the next week.
As of this morning work has restarted on the Medieval Mile along High Street.
From today until Sunday the 16th of October, there’ll be no access to High Street for vehicles, between certain hours every day.
This is so that more work can be done to complete the Medieval Mile project in the City.
Earlier this year there were similar closures to High Street while the area around its junction with James Street was given a new road surface and new paving to match.
This time the area of Path and Road at the Tholsel will be paved, starting at 6 o’clock in the evening from Monday to Friday, finishing at 1 am.
On Saturday and Sunday it’ll be happening between 6am to 1.30 pm.
The Medieval Mile runs from St Canice’s Cathedral all the way up to Kilkenny Castle.
One of the most anticipated stops along the way, the Medieval Mile Museum, is set to open its doors before the end of this year at St Mary’s Church.
