Knockbeg College in Carlow are celebrating having won an award at the Rubbish Film Festival.
Owen Mitchell helped create an award-winning short film, Whispers of the Forest, which took top spot at the film gala.
The project, involving twelve students, highlighting the impact of deforestation, with scenes shot locally near the school.
Owen, who directed the film credits his school’s strong focus on environmental awareness.
He spoke to KCLR News’ Martin Quilty about the film and his experiences making it.
