Frankie Gavin is synonymous with taste and dynamics whether playing a traditional tune, one of his own compositions or one of the many trips across the styles that De Dannan does with apparent ease. He has been host to a wide variety of musicians and singers and it reads like the proverbial Who’s Who in Irish music. On this tour (and live album) he’s joined on guitar by Kilkenny musician Colm O’Caoimh.
Frankie Gavin’s De Dannan will play at the Set Theatre on Thursday 17/4/2014 and it promises to be a great music of music and song.
