Two young Carlow brothers who lost their lives in tragic circumstances will be remembered by locals in a fundraising cycle today.
The now-annual Blackstairs Cycling Challenge – in memory of Eoghan and Ruairi Chada – takes place in Ballinkillen.
It got underway at 9 o’clock this morning, to remember the brothers who died in 2013.
All of the funds raised will be divided 4 ways between Ballinkillen National school, Ballinkillen Juvenile GAA club, Jack and Jill and Down Syndrome Ireland.
Speaking to KCLR news, the boys mother Kathleen, says they wanted to support children’s charities in Ireland.
