Local Fianna Fail TD John McGuinness says there’s significant information being held by the government in relation to the banking crisis and that needs to be made public.
His comments come after Enda Kenny confirmed yesterday that the Dáil and Seanad will be asked to finalise the arrangements for the inquiry next week and establish exactly what happened that led to the collapse of the banks.
Deputy McGuinness says the Public Accounts Committee has put together their own banking analysis and report but they could only go so far because the government was holding back the rest of the information.
