€12,000 worth of jewellery stolen from a jeweller’s on Tullow Street in Carlow earlier this week has now been recovered by Gardaí.
Earlier it was reported that a tray of rings had been taken at about 3 o’clock on Monday the 27th February and it had been feared that it would be sold on.
However, the jeweller contacted KCLR today to say that thanks to the Gardaí they now have the stolen rings back.
Meanwhile, medication was taken during a separate burglary in Carlow in the last week.
In the early hours of Monday morning – between 2.50am and 3.15am – the front window of Careplus Pharmacy on Church Street in Bagenalstown was smashed with a hammer.
A quantity of medicine was taken from the dispensary.
Gardaí are looking for anyone with information to contact them.
