A deal could be done this week to sell the Mount Juliet Golf Club in Thomastown.
It’s reported that Dublin group, Brehon Capital Partners, and an entrepreneur called Emmet O’Neill are finalising a 15 million euro deal to buy the resort.
O’Neill is a nephew of the tycoon Denis O’Brien, who has a house on the Mount Juliet estate.
The five-star hotel and former Irish Open golf course is currenly owned by the Mahony family and has almost 190 people employed at the resort.
