Planning permission has been granted to convert yet another of Urlingford’s “eyesores”.
Bernard Kavanagh and Sons have been given permission to change what used to be a popular pit-stop ‘Josephine’s Restaurant’ in Urlingford into office space.
It follows the announcement last year that the half-built structure opposite Josephine’s was finally to be completed and turned into a nursing home and work is going on there at the moment.
Speaking to KCLR News, local councillor Mary Hilda Cavanagh says that the town is finally beginning to claw it’s way back after being doubly hit by both the recession and the opening of the M8 motorway.
Councillor Cavanagh says 14 houses are also now going to be built on Toher Way at that end of the town which will also help the local economy.
