18 projects from Carlow and Kilkenny in BT Young Scientist and Technology which gets underway today

Students from nine local schools are competing in the BT Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition which gets underway today.

The contest continues to Saturday but the opening stages is a bit quieter than usual, many of those involved opting to not travel due to the weather conditions.
