The lowest number of Covid-19 cases this year has been recorded today.
NPHET has reported 259 new cases this evening – the lowest since December 12th.
There are 76 Covid patients in hospital, with 27 in intensive care.
Meanwhile, the UK’s recorded the highest number of coronavirus cases since the end of February.
Another 7,540 people have tested positive and six more people have died.
A leading expert, Professor Neil Ferguson from Imperial College London, is now warning the UK’s at risk of a “substantial third wave”.
