35,000 Covid-19 vaccines have now taken place at Cillin Hill in Kilkenny.
The HSE’s marking the local milestone today as Angela O’Sullivan of Ballyhale was the person to get the 35,000th jab.
The health organisation’s Kate Cassidy is the Covid lead at the local facility and has been telling KCLR Live says it’s an indication of how well community and hospital works together – listen back to that conversation here:
So far over three million people across the country have been given a dose of a Covid vaccine and by the end of today one million people will be fully vaccinated.
It’s now unlikely the original target of vaccinating 82% of adults with at least one dose by the end of June will be met.
But the Taoiseach said by the end of July it’s hoped 70% of the adult population will be fully vaccinated.
Micheal Martin says it all hinges on supplies but Ireland is doing well.
