Soldiers from James Stephens’ Barracks in Kilkenny are putting the final preparations to their training ahead of their deployment to Lebanon.
Around 32 soldiers from Kilkenny and 12 from Carlow are amongst those heading out on the peace-keeping mission on the 17th of May.
They’ve just completed two weeks of tactical training in the Glen of Imaal today.
Lieutenant Colonel Stephen Ryan told KCLR that they know the risk that the mission poses and they’re prepared for it.
