750 jobs in homecare have been announced with positions available in Carlow and Kilkenny

750 new jobs in homecare have been announced.

Irish Homecare is looking for people to offer both care in the home as well as companionship.

It has positions available across Carlow and Kilkenny, including in Rathvilly, Hacketstown, Glenmore, Slieverue, Mullinavat, Piltown, Kilmacow and Graignamanagh

CEO John Florence says the latter service was important during the pandemic, noting “During Covid obviously with restrictions we were trying to limit interactions between people and social distancing and that but we were able to call to peoples houses, we were able to stand in a garden and have a conversation with people and even a cup of tea sitting in a back garden somewhere so the companionship service was very, very important”.
