The Health Minister says he approves of the plans for ‘decongregation’ at St Patricks on the Kells road in Kilkenny.
Families learned before Christmas that the residential centre for people with disabilities is to be closed.

Some residents have been moved already with plans in place to rehome others shortly – many of whom have called St Patricks their home for decades.
Speaking to KCLR on a visit to Kilkenny yesterday Leo Varadkar says he understands that people have reservations about it but he thinks its the right thing to do.
