The Carlow 1916 centenary committee are remembering Father Albert Bibby in Bagenalstown this afternoon.
It comes as events to mark the 1916 Easter rising kick off across the country.
The meeting point for today’s commemoration is at the fire station in Bagenalstown at 3 o clock.
Paul Horan is an assistant professor at Trinity College in Dublin, he told KCLR that Albert Bibby did a lot of work in his time.
