Carlow/Kilkenny TD says decrease in home help hours locally is “appalling”

“The decrease in home help hours in Carlow & Kilkenny is appalling” so says this constituency’s Sinn Fein TD.

Kathleen Funchion has criticised the Government for cutting the hours of home assistance in this region by more than 14,600 hours in the last five years.

They had set a target in 2017 for upwards of 326,000 home help hours in Carlow and Kilkenny – however, just under 275,000 were provided – a shortfall of about 51,600 hours.
