Ciarán Lavery has produced his latest album “Sweet Decay” and is due for official release on April 13th. It has his trademark style and will only add to his reputation as a writer with a unique style. His last visit to Kilkenny also won him many fans. His is a quiet but highly effective performance style and his songs burrow deep on closer listening.
He dropped in to Studio 2 in February to chat about the album and tour but we took a detour on the turn of a lyric. He has had his his share of mental health difficulties and he is remarkably open about them. His songs have helped him to work through and he is not afraid to tackle or discuss them in his music. I thank him for his honesty and frankness.
