A local woman living on a Greek island says the series of earthquakes hitting Santorini are being closely monitored.
A travel alert has been issued to holidaymakers in Greece after 15,000 with magnitudes greater than one have been registered since 26th of January.
A state of emergency’s been declared in the region and while direct flights from Ireland to the area don’t resume until April the Department of Foreign Affairs here is advising tourists to exercise caution and Travel Exert Eoghan Corry says the seismic activity could have a knock-on effect for the Summer.
