A young local pupil is appealing to motorists to slow down, in particular around schools.
Oisín’s plea comes in the wake of Gardaí detecting a number speeding by educational facilities during yesterday’s National Slow Down Day.
And the call comes as part of ‘Road Wise’, KCLR’s new road safety radio initiative which includes two weekly inserts to programmes and a monthly show focused on road safety, featuring emergency services personnel, those who’ve been impacted by crashes and other such incidents and our young people.
Oisín is reminding us; “Children across Carlow and Kilkenny are returning to school this week; we are urging drivers, parents & young children to take extra care on the roads”.
