A Carlow man is one of 32 escorts taking part in this year’s Rose of Tralee Festival.
Paul Hickey from Bagenalstown was picked to take part in the competition following an escort booth camp earlier in the year.

The 32 Roses and their escorts attended a presentation ceremony on Saturday night.
Over 1 thousand people are expected to the attend the televised final which begins tonight at 8pm.

Speaking to KCLR ahead of the main event, Paul said there’s loads planned for the next few days.
