Former Tipperary All-Ireland winner and All-Star Paul Kelly says he is looking forward to getting to work with the Carlow squad after being confirmed as the county’s new Intermediate Camogie manager.
Speaking to KCLR, Kelly outlined why the role appealed to him and why Carlow felt like the right fit.
“I have a strong passion for sport given my own background, having played with Tipperary and being a physical education teacher on a day-to-day basis. I suppose it’s a great opportunity to promote girls in sport from my own background.”
“Why Carlow? I suppose they’re playing in the intermediate grade. There’s a strong passion for Camogie in Carlow, which I sense from the county board, and their belief is that there’s a great bunch of girls there at the moment and that there’s a possibility of achieving something. That’s the reason why I chose Carlow.”
Kelly now turns his attention to preparations for the 2026 campaign.
