Kilkenny Councillors have voted unanimously to remove the ‘Rural Node’ status from several communities
At their recent monthly meeting the members voted on a motion to re-instate the village status’s of Kilmanagh and 24 other communites that were removed in the last development plan.
Councillors had expressed their concerns at the July meeting about the implications of the ‘Rural Node’ designation had on Kilkenny communities.
Cllr David Fitzgerald told KCLR News this decision now allows communites access to funding schemes.
