There’s devastation for a local family and their neighbours following the death of a man in Carlow town last night.
Gardaí were called to New Oak Estate after 11:30pm where they found the 30-year-old unresponsive and with serious injuries outside a house – he was taken to St Luke’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A post mortem’s expected to be carried out at University Hospital Waterford this afternoon.
While the Garda Technical Bureau has been carrying out its examination of the scene.
A woman who was arrested shortly after midnight can be held for 24 hours.
It’s understood the two are known to each other and are both from Carlow.
