Almost 2,000 ESB customers in Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny without electricity this morning

Close to 1998 ESB customers in North Kilkenny were without electricity for a time this morning.

A fault was been reported in the Castlecomer area just before 8am.

The utility was made aware and had crews working on fixing the issue.

There was initially an estimated restoration time of 11:30am, but it appears to have been resolved ahead of schedule.
