An Taisce have made their case in the High Court today to see if they can continue their legal battle against a massive Glanbia cheese factory in South Kilkenny.
The environmental body is seeking leave to appeal decision to uphold the planning permission for the project which was granted by An Bord Pleanala after Kilkenny County Council had also given its approval.

A certificate of leave to appeal will be granted only if the judge is satisfied there are points of law of exceptional public importance arising from the judgment in May.
It’s not known at this stage when a decision will be delivered.
