Another Status Orange Low Temperature / Ice warning issued for Carlow and Kilkenny

Carlow and Kilkenny have both been hit with a new overnight Status Orange low temperature and ice warning.

They’re among 13 counties set to be impacted by the latest notice from Met Éireann:

It’s as one Skeoughvosteen mother, Linda Carroll, has been outlining how cabin fever’s hit at her snowed-in home, reminding her of the Covid lockdown but has been praising those who have been staying in touch with her;

County Council crews in both counties continue to do what they can with approx 200 tonnes of gritting salt distributed in each county each day.
