14 man Ballon have won this year’s Carlow junior football title after a 2-11 to 2-6 win over Palatine.
Shane O Neill’s two first half goals had given Pal a 2-3 to 0-5 lead and they looked odds on for the win when Benny fanning received a straight red after 40 mins.,
However Ballon they never gave up hope and with 59 mins gone they trailed by two.
Then Alan Kelly netted on the stroke of 60 minutes to make it 1-10 to 2-6 before Alan Fanning hit the net for a remarkable turnaround.
