Brendan O’Carroll among those who have helped raise money needed to get Kilkenny boy talking

Brendan O’Carroll and a major local company were amongst over 130 people and businesses to donate money to a campaign to get a Kilkenny boy talking.
15-year-old Jordan has a range of complex medical needs which means he’s both a full-time wheelchair user, needing round-the-clock care and he’s also unable to speak.
His parents were told that he would likely never be able to communicate but in November an eye-gaze communication aid was trialled on Jordan and it worked.
The family then set about trying to raise the €6,000 needed through a gofundme campaign.
Speaking to KCLR Live this morning, Jordan’s father, Robert McHugh says they surpassed that target on Christmas Eve, reaching over €9,000.
