A Carlow Councillor is calling on the Minister for Agriculture to recognise and to support farmers who have difficulty reading and processing paperwork for their farms.
Brian O’ Donoghue has put the motion forward for a Carlow county council meeting today after Rathvilly man Ned Deering put his case to the European Parliament committee of petitions.
Ned was diagnosed with Dyslexia in his 50’s and Councillor O’Donoghue says there’s a huge amount of red tape now with farmers which makes it difficult for people like Ned to get their certificates.
