After a long two stage rigorous process S-E-T-U is one of the third level campuses that is been considered for a new vetinery college alonside University of Limerick and The Atlantic TechnologicalUniversity
At the Iverk Show last year the now Taoiseach Simon Harris made these comments to KCLR
“We (Kildalton College) could host a new veterinary college, we need at least one new veterinary College in Ireland. It doesn’t make sense that the only one is in South Dublin and I hope working with the Minister for Agriculture, that we would be able to make a decision about that for Kildalton in the coming months”
Deputy Matt Shanahan had his say on the issue as he spoke to KCLR news
Carlow/Kilkenny TD John McGuinness believes that the local Agricultural College would be the perfect choice, but could be a shared facility
