Car seized in Kilkenny City after Gardaí stop unaccompanied learner driver

Gardaí in Kilkenny are reminding motorists to never drive while under the influence of an intoxicant.

It follows the seizure of a vehicle in Kilkenny City after they stopped an unaccompanied learner permit holder over the weekend.

The driver tested positive for cannabis after an oral fluid test was conducted.

They are awaiting the results of a blood analysis and they say a prosecution is to follow.
