We’re in for another spell of very warm weather, with a status yellow high temperature alert now in place for all of Leinster and Tipperary, lasting until Friday morning.

Met Éireann warns of heat stress, animal welfare issues, uncomfortable sleeping conditions and water safety concerns as people head to rivers, lakes and beaches.

A spokesperson says while it’ll be rather cloudy with showery rain in the north, that’ll ease by early afternoon with sunny spells extending from the southeast.

Warm and humid sums up their forecast with highest temperatures of 23 to 29 degrees, in a light to moderate southerly breeze.
