Local fans of Liam Payne say they’re devastated by his death.
The One Direction star has died at the age of 31 after reportedly falling from the balcony of a hotel in Argentina, where he’d been staying with his girlfriend.
Police say he had “extremely serious injuries”, and pronounced him dead at the scene.
An impromptu candlelit vigil has been held outside the hotel in Buenos Aires.
KCLR Breakfast listeners have been sending in their memories to our John Walsh outlining the upset in their homes on the news and recounting memories of attending the band’s concerts.
One said; “I know fans are devastated but its his family I feel for. A sudden death is so devastating. They’re left floundering There’s no real answers as to why. I just hope the Lord blesses and comforts them.”
