Both Carlow and Kilkenny are part of the next phase in Vodafone’s nationwide network upgrade programme.
The telecommunications company is upgrading to 4G & 5G enabling the switch off of 3G locally.
They say customers locally will have an enhanced experience with improvements in areas surrounding historic Borris House and Kilkenny Castle, ensuring visitors to the estates benefit from better coverage and connectivity.
The network’s also been strengthened near other top attractions such as Carlow Cathedral, Black Castle in Leighlinbridge, St Canice’s Cathedral and Round Tower, the Smithwick’s Experience and Mount Juliet Estate.
While popular spots like Tullow, Bagenalstown, Rathvilly, Ballyragget, Paulstown, Gowran, Thomastown and Kilmoganny will also experience enhanced connectivity, ensuring locals, visitors and businesses stay connected.
