Primary schools are being invited to take part in the Blue Star Programme.
Run by the Department of Foreign Affairs, the initiative helps pupils learn about the European Union, democracy, diversity, and climate action.
Nearly 400 schools took part last year, including eight from Carlow and six in Kilkenny.
Registered schools receive a range of free teaching resources, including lesson plans, workbooks, and online materials.
Education Manager with European Movement Ireland, Finn Moffat, says young people have a say in what goes on in Europe.
“A lot of people think that Europe is something that’s quite far away from us here in Ireland, and that it’s, you know, this kind of more of an abstract concept as opposed to something that affects our everyday lives. At its core, it’s democratic, it’s inclusive, and ordinary citizens can have their voices heard in Europe.” said Finn.
