Fáilte Ireland’s rolling out a €4million marketing campaign boosting holidaying at home.
The domestic market initiative has been unveiled by Tourism Minister Catherine Martin. (See video below).
It’s calling on people to ‘Keep Discovering’ as Acting Head of Marketing with Failte Ireland Caoimhe Ni Dhuibhinn outlines, telling KCLR News “It’ll run across multiple media channels and it’s all about encouraging and reminding Irish people to discover the joy of holidaying in Ireland, including Kilkenny and Carlow, and as we begin to reconnect with each other Keep Discovering is also about encouraging people to reconnect with Ireland and discovering everything the country has to offer”.
She adds “Our latest research is indicating that 46% of Irish people are planning to take a short break in the next six months and of that 42% are intending to travel to Ireland’s Ancient East so that’s positive from a Carlow and Kilkenny perspective”.
