Carlow Camogie has confirmed the appointment of Paul Kelly as Intermediate Team Manager for the 2026 season.
Kelly, originally from Tipperary and a member of the Mullinahone club, brings an impressive playing and coaching pedigree to the role. An All-Ireland winner in 2001 and 2010, he also earned All-Star honours in 2002 and 2005.
His coaching career has been equally notable, with successful spells managing Mullinahone in LGFA and Fethard in camogie. Kelly has also been involved in coaching both hurling and camogie at various levels, including contributing to the Dublin Senior setup.
Carlow Camogie has further strengthened the ticket with the addition of Brendan Hayden, who will join Kelly as lead hurling coach.
In a statement, Carlow Camogie described the new management team as “a very exciting prospect for Carlow Camogie combining an All-Ireland Senior Championship winner with a track record in management with one of the best hurling coaches in Carlow who has a proven track record at inter county and club level.”
Details of the full backroom team will be announced in the coming weeks.
