Carlow councillor Andrea Dalton is the new Chair of the local Education and Training Board

A Carlow councillor has been named the new Chair of the local Education and Training Board.

Andrea Dalton is the latest to take up the baton and was proposed by her fellow Fianna Fáil representative, Kilkenny Councillor Peter ‘Chap’ Cleere, saying he was delighted to have been able to do so.

Cllr Dalton now takes the helm of the Kilkenny Carlow ETB which manages and operates 13 post-primary schools, two colleges of further education and training, a range of adult and community education services, the co-ordination of youth services, and the promotion of music education.
