A Carlow Councillor is calling for elected representatives to have more of a say in planning decisions.
The local authority’s stance is that it is inappropriate for members to discuss live planning applications at council meetings.

Fianna Fáil Councillor McDonald says there should be no blanket ban on what he can bring up in the chamber.
