Should Duckett’s Grove in Carlow be sold and renovated?
That’s the question being posed by a Carlow councillor who says the possibility of the council entering into a public/private partnership with someone should be examined.
Fergal Browne says, as it stands, the council don’t have the money that would be required to renovate the building.
The outer shell is all that remains of it after a fire back in the 1930s.
Councillor Browne says the council’s Chief Executive was open to discussing ideas around what can be done to improve tourism there.
And he says some small improvements have already been made.
