A lot of money from our main funding source is the local property tax and it goes towards improving front line services.
At yesterdays monthly council meeting in Carlow, councillors voted to keep the property tax as it is for 2025.
Mayor Fintan Phelan has proposed the motions which was seconded by Cllr Michael Doran.
An ammendment proposed by BPB Councillor Adrienne Wallace and seconded by Independent Ireland candidate John Cassin had proposed a 15% reduction.
