Gardaí are investigating after five burglaries – all with a similar pattern – were carried out in Carlow town last weekend.
Two houses in Southern Gardens were targeted between 5 and 9 o’clock on Saturday evening.
The culprits broke in through the back doors in and made off with a number of items.
On the same evening, a house was broken into in the Poplars, Graiguecullen and two more were hit in Chapelstown Gate.
Sergeant Peter McConnon says there was no-one in the houses at the time and he’s advising anyone leaving their home to try and make it seem like someone’s there.
