It’s a hazardous job, but it’s one that’s worth doing – that’s according to Carlow’s Fire Chief as the local Fire Service announce they’re now recruiting more fire fighters.
They’re currently looking for someone to fill two positions in Carlow Town and in Tullow but they say they’re expecting more roles to become available as some members will be retiring in the coming months.
Fire Chief, Alan O’Neill says they are looking for a specific type of very committed person but anyone between the ages of 18 and 55 can apply.
