Cash withdrawals are highest in Carlow, followed by Dublin, according to a recent report from the Central Bank.
It’s released data on spending for the first six months of the year.
It found Westmeath was the lowest ranking county for cash withdrawals over that time period.
The total value of card transactions, including cash withdrawals, totaled about 6.8 billion per month.
The report found that e-wallet payments such as Apple and Google pay are becoming very popular.
