Carlow town’s St Catherine’s Community Services Centre to mark 50th birthday today

Carlow town’s St Catherine’s Community Services Centre is celebrating 50 years serving the locality.

It opened in 1975 with the help of Fr. Sean Kelly and a group of leaders who provided a range of services which has now expanded to include meals on wheels, early learning childcare, family support and traveller community programmes.

KCLR’s The Afternoon Crew (1pm-4pm) will broadcast from festivities during which a new extension will be officially opened by Minister Jennifer Murnane O’Connor;
