Carlow’s newest councillor to take seat for the first time today

Today will see Carlow’s newest councillor take her seat for the first time.
Andrea Dalton was co-opted onto the council to fill the seat vacated by Fianna Fáil’s Anne Ahern.
This afternoon’s October council meeting will be the first such meeting in her new position.
Meanwhile, the issue of school wardens – and the lack thereof – is expected to dominate much of today’s agenda.
Rathvilly and Grange schools will both be raised as examples by councillors, along with Bennekerry National School, which Councillor Fergal Browne says needs a lollipop person as it has over 450 pupils.
