One of the more intriguing questions this year was how Jimmy’s Cousin ‘got’ his name. Ian Dodson (AKA Jimmy’s Cousin) had his answer and it will resonate with anyone with an older sibling.
Ian/Jimmy released his debut album “Waxwings” to great critical acclaim and it’s not had to see or hear why. It’s full of great melodies, great musicians and lyrics that hit. It’s one of my favourite albums of the past while and it was a delight to meet him to chat about the making of the album.
Since we met in July, he has since released a live album which features some of the best players in the country. In the session you’ll hear two acoustic tracks from the album.
