It’s been claimed that a world-renowned actor has been visiting our locality.
KCLR News has had reports of Johnny Depp being sighted in Kilkenny city, some placing him on the grounds of Kilkenny Castle yesterday (Wednesday, 20th May) afternoon.
However, that’s something of a surprise for the team there – the OPW press office has told us ‘The management team in Kilkenny Castle are not aware of any sighting yesterday of Johnny Depp on the grounds of the Castle.”
It’s not beyond the realms of possibility however. Depp’s collaborative track with Imelda May on their take of Shane MacGowan and Sineád O’Connor’s ‘Haunted’ was released in April and he’s visited the country many times.
And stars often stop by the local historic building with KCLR previously highlighting visits by Katie Holmes, Mick Jagger & Marianne Faithful as well as the now King of England.
