A compromise will be offered to Kilkenny city centre businesses who want planned work on Ormonde Street to be postponed.
The County Council is planning to dig up the street for a major refurbishment job over the summer.
But businesses like the Hibernian and Ormonde Hotels says it’ll hurt them as they try and reopen after the lockdown.
Cathaoirleach of the County Council Andrew McGuinness says he’s being told that work has to go ahead but some way will be found to minimise the effects.
